Frequently asked questions
What vaccinations are required?
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required, typically including Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus), and Bordetella.
Do you have an intake or assessment process?
Yes, most Surrey daycare's require a temperament evaluation or "meet and greet" to ensure your dog is a good fit for group play, and in our case, the pack.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to join?
Not necessarily! While many facilities require dogs over 7–8 months to be fixed, we take a more flexible approach. Depending on your dog's behavior and how they fit into the pack, we might wait a year or more. It's all about what's best for your pup's development!
Do you accept all breeds?
While many say yes, others have restrictions. Some focus on smaller groups, emphasizing quality over quantity. We focus on size and accept dogs under 75 lbs. We have breed restrictions for security dogs or any bully breed, backyard dogs, and any dog weighing over 75 lbs.
Will my dog spend the day in a kennel?
Not at all! Our daycare is proudly kennel-free. Dogs here enjoy an open-concept space where they can play, nap, and even share cozy pet beds with their pals. Puppies get a little private time for lunch before nap-time, and everyone gets to enjoy sun-dried sardine treats during treat time. It's a dog's dream!
How do you group the dogs?
We don't separate dogs by size or temperament like most daycares. Here, it's all about energy and play style! With a calm, assertive pack leader in charge, our dogs play, wrestle, and frolic together as one happy pack. Trust and supervision make all the difference!
What if my dog gets sick or injured?
A reputable daycare will have protocols to contact you immediately and take your dog to a vet if necessary. Our pack leader has Pet First Aid and stocked first aid kit. She has operated her daycare for 21 years and in all that time has never had an incident that needed immediate treatment, that she couldn't handle. Dogs are not looking to fight each other. And our breed restriction ensures we have safe space for the dogs to play.
Are there cameras?
Some facilities have security systems and cameras, but may not provide live feeds to owners. We have security cameras, but no live feed as this is our home too. We do provide plenty of social media pics and videos for your enjoyment, and you do have access to see the pack in action each day you pickup and drop off. We don't hide our pack in the back.
Do I need to book in advance?
As a PM member your package is booked in advance and your spot is guaranteed. We do offer some flexibility, as we understand that life happens. Our Bark card package is not guaranteed however, so advance booking is recommended. And depending on the dog, we can go over our numbers, as it is up to the pack leader to set her own numbers. She has wrangled a pack of 30+ dogs on her own in the past, so she is more than capable.
What are your hours?
Our hours are 6am to 7pm weekdays and Saturdays by appointment only. Members do have access to weekend care, so no new dogs on weekends. Depending on the pack, they might go on an outing to a park or the beach.
Why does my dog pee/poo when they get home?
Our pack has access to outside all day. We poop scoop in the morning and in the early afternoon after nap time. The dogs that need a piddle on the way out probably held on to it because of FOMO.
Drop-off and Pick-up Policies:
Our open drop-off is between 6am and 10am. Our dogs nap from 11 to 1pm, so no interruptions, please. Pickup starts at 2pm until closing at 7pm.
What makes your facility special?
Our facility is a dog's paradise! With a 3,000 sq. ft. fenced backyard featuring pet pro turf, your pup can play without getting muddy. We also have a 400 sq. ft. covered deck for rainy days and a cozy cottage with A/C and air purifiers for hot days. Plus, there are toys, play structures, and even big Collie balls for endless fun!
