The Calm Control Program

The Elite Reactivity Reset: 12-Session All-Day Day Training Program

We do the heavy lifting. You get a calm, focused dog.

If you are a busy dog owner in Surrey, finding the time to execute complex behavior modification protocols for a reactive dog can feel impossible. Traditional board-and-train programs can be stressful for anxious dogs, and standard private lessons put all the pressure on your schedule. I will hand you a list of 3 concrete rules to implement on that first day. No fluff, just immediate relief.

“You drop off a reactive, stressed dog. You pick up a balanced, focused companion. I do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. Just follow 3 simple rules!”

Our 12-Session Day Training Program is the perfect solution. Leveraging 21 years of dog wrangling and 15 years of professional training experience right here in Surrey, we handle the intensive, daily behavior modification for you while your dog spends the day at our home-based facility.

Your dog gets expert, one-on-one counter-conditioning and desensitization sessions throughout the day in a safe, controlled environment. You simply drop them off on your morning commute and pick up a happier, more focused companion at the end of the day. But you have to do the work too. Post that list on the fridge, the front door, or where ever you'll see it, to remind you to be consistent, calm and clear in your leadership.

How the Program Works;

Step 1: The Initial Virtual Consultation
Before your dog's first day, we meet online for a 90-minute intake session to map out your dog’s specific reactivity triggers, behavioral history, and baseline threshold levels.

Step 2: 12 Specialized Day Training Sessions
Your dog attends our facility for 12 customized training days (typically spaced out over 4 to 6 weeks, e.g., 2–3 days per week).

Throughout each day, they receive:

  • Multiple short, high-focus 1-on-1 reactivity training sessions with a master trainer.

  • Safe, managed decompression, enrichment, and rest periods to keep cortisol levels low.

  • Real-world threshold management utilizing our quiet, controlled home training setups.

Step 3: The Skill Transfer Sessions
Dogs do not generalize well; they need to know you are in charge, too. This program includes 3 mandatory private transfer sessions where we coach you on how to maintain and command the exact progress your dog has made.

Morning Checklist

To ensure the safety, health, and comfort of all dogs in our care, please review our intake requirements. On your dogs first morning drop-off, please bring the following items packed in a dedicated tote bag:

1. Health & Vaccine Requirements

Your puppy’s safety is our absolute priority. Because young puppies are still building immunity, we strictly require:

  • Up-to-Date Vaccine Records: Digitally submitted with in-take form, or printed proof of their first 3 rounds of core vaccines (including DHPP/DA2PP).

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough): Administered at least 7 days prior to their first day.

  • Veterinary Clearance: A quick confirmation from your vet that the puppy is free of internal and external parasites.

2. Daily Nutrition (Your dog's Food)

Adolescents still eat more than one meal a day and their bellies are incredibly sensitive. To avoid any digestive upset, we maintain their exact home diet.

  • Pre-Portioned Meals: Please bring enough kibble or raw food for lunch (and breakfast if they eat late).

  • Labelled Containers: Place food in airtight bags or containers clearly labelled with your puppy’s name and specific feeding amounts.

  • High-Value Training Treats: If your puppy has a favourite soft treat or a specific dietary restriction, please include a small bag. (Otherwise, healthy, age-appropriate training treats are provided).

3. Comfort & Gear

  • A Standard Flat Collar or Harness: No slip leads, choke chains, or prong collars.

  • Dog crate for consistency and comfort, and only if one is being used at home.

  • A 4ft to 6ft Standard Nylon Leash: Please do not bring retractable or bungee leashes.

  • An Item that Smells Like Home: A small blanket, an old t-shirt, and again, only if crate is being used at home.
