There’s something pretty wonderful about handing your dog a fresh baked dog treat when you know exactly what’s in it. No mystery bits. No colours. No preservatives. No long ingredient names that sound like they belong in a science lab.
That’s the heart behind The Wholesome Paws Barkery, my cozy country kitchen dog treat bakery in Surrey, BC. Every treat is baked fresh to order, made with simple ingredients, and delivered right to your door.

Treats made with ingredients you actually recognize
The Barkery was built around a simple idea: dogs deserve treats made with real food.
I bake with ingredients like pumpkin, sweet potato, banana, apple, carrot, blueberries, blackberries, beets, xylitol-free peanut butter, plain unsweetened yogurt, eggs, cooked chicken and turkey, sardines, salmon, parsley, ginger, turmeric, coconut, molasses, carob, coconut oil, oats, whole wheat flour, oat flour, cinnamon, and a little honey.
Decorations stay dog-friendly too. I use berries, chopped peanuts, carrots, and other edible goodies I have on hand that are safe for dogs.
That means no fillers, no preservatives, and no added colours. Just fresh-baked treats made with care.
If your dog has food restrictions, sensitivities, or a very picky little palate, let me know when you order. I can’t promise every substitution will be possible, but I’m always happy to see if I can make a substitute treat for your furball.

As an artist and sculptor, I wanted these cakes to feel extra special. I hand carve the bone-shaped cake and make my own moulds for the biscuits, so each order has that handmade touch you don’t get from a mass-produced treat.
These aren’t fancy just for the sake of being fancy. They’re fun, charming, and made to be shared with the dogs who bring so much joy into our lives.

Delivery is available locally from the Bridgeview area of Surrey.

$5 delivery fee outside the free delivery radius up to 8 km

The Wholesome Paws Barkery is also looking for a local rescue or shelter to support.
The plan is to donate part of the proceeds to help dogs who are still waiting for their safe, loving homes. If there’s a rescue or shelter close to your heart, send an email so they can be added to the list for consideration.
This part matters to me. Treats bring joy to the dogs already curled up on our couches, but they can also help support the ones still waiting for their person.

Are the treats made fresh?
Yes. Every order is baked fresh on order. Baking happens on Mondays and Thursdays, with deliveries on Tuesday and Friday evenings.
Do you use preservatives or artificial colours?
No. The treats are made without fillers, preservatives, or colours. The goal is simple, recognizable ingredients. For that reason, they don't have a long shelf life, so can last on the counter for 2 days, in the fridge for about 5 to 7 days, and if packed well, can stay good frozen for up to 3 months.
Can I order if my dog has food restrictions?
Yes, please share the restriction when you order. I’ll see if I’m able to make a substitute treat that works for your dog.
Where can I see the full treat menu?
Visit the BARKERY page on the website to see the full list of items available to order freshly baked. Fill out the order form and submit it, and you'll get a response with confirmation on bake day and an invoice you can pay via credit or e-transfer or debit upon deliver. A deposit is required to get a spot on the bake tray.
Are these treats a replacement for regular meals?
No. They’re treats and celebration goodies, not meal replacements. If your dog has a medical diet or serious allergy, check with your vet before introducing new foods.
