Are you tired of your dog giving you that "I can't hear you" look while they chase squirrels? Do you dream of a well-behaved pup that listens better than your favourite podcast? Well, buckle up, because our obedience classes are starting this May, and they’re going to be pawsitively hilarious!
Three Levels of Dog Obedience classes: Choose Your Adventure!
1. Level One: The Basics of Barking
Here, we’ll teach your dog the fundamentals of obedience—like how to sit, stay, and not eat your neighbour's shoes. We’ll also dive into body language, and how to curb the barking so you can finally understand why your dog gives you that “I’m judging you” stare.
2. Level Two: Hand Signals and High Fives
Once your dog has mastered the basics, it’s time to level up! We’ll introduce hand signals that will make you feel like a secret agent communicating with your furry partner. Bonus points if your dog learns to high-five like a pro!
3. Level Three: Off-Leash Freedom Fighters
This is where the real magic happens! We’ll work on getting your dog off-leash and listening to you like a loyal sidekick. Pack leadership will be introduced—because let’s face it, someone needs to be in charge, and it might as well be you!
Why Join Our Dog Training Classes?
Energy Management: I find it vital to learn how to channel your dog's zoomies into something productive (like not crashing into the coffee table). By knowing the signs and sounds to get the most effective reaction and response from your pup, you'll have control without using words, needing to yell, and to others look like you're channelling Yoda.
We will introduce the basic commands, but also teach the hand signals and show you how our own body language speaks volumes to our dog. And they have already studied your actions and reactions, and know you way better than you do. Let's get on a level playing field here!
I will introduce my Pack Leadership training in the Obedience class because it really is the fundamental core of understanding them and reading them, so we can better predict behaviours we otherwise didn't see coming. And who doesn't want that? Getting dragged down the street by your dog is not a fun experience! And establishing yourself as the alpha of your household without having to wear a crown (unless you want to, no judgment here) is just a way to avoid a lot of arguments in the years to come.
Fun and Laughter should be part of your game plan. You should expect plenty of laughs as we navigate the ups and downs of dog training. Who knew teaching your dog could be this entertaining?
So, are you ready to turn your furry tornado into a well-mannered companion? Sign up for our obedience classes starting in May and let the training—and the laughter—begin! Spots are limited, so don’t let your dog miss out on the chance to be the best doggy on the block! 🐾
